KJELL ÖSTRÖM
MSc in Business Administration and former Associate Professor in Regional Economic Development Planning, has 30 years of experience in development assistance including long-term assignments in Africa where he has been a resident for seven years. He has worked in East Africa as an economist for the UN and Sida, and managed a consultancy firm in Tanzania over several years. He is a specialist in regional economic planning and a Former Director of Regional Planning in the north of Sweden, a task especially focused on the promotion of regional entrepreneurship and business development. He has undertaken numerous assignments in strengthening local government and local government authorities, including a post as adviser on decentralisation and local government in a four-year assignment in Albania for Sida. Kjell is passionate about photography, hunting and fishing. He is based in Lund, Sweden.
