HENRIC THÖRNBERG
BA in Economics, divides his time as development consultant and senior adviser to Standard Bank, one of the largest global banking groups with a focus on emerging markets. He has worked in most of the Sub-Saharan African nations, interacting with a number of development finance institutions. His advisory work has also involved tasks for organisations such as the African Development Bank, Danida, GuarantCo, Norad, Norsad and Sida. He is currently adviser to several private companies which focus on renewable energy projects in Africa. He was project investment officer in Swedfund for many years and prior to that worked with ILO’s Improve Your Business programme. He has advised Nordic governments on the implications of the financial crisis on developing countries. Henric’s passion off work is music, singing and playing his violin. He is based in Stockholm.
