MBA from Stockholm School of Economics and MSc in Civil Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology. Mikael has 10 years of consultancy experience and close to 30 years’ experience of working in various positions at Sida. He has managed a number of large infrastructure projects and held a series of senior positions related to policy development in the field of infrastructure and private sector development. In 2005-06 Mikael coordinated elements of POVNET’s policy guidance for donors on pro-poor growth within OECD/DAC’s Poverty Reduction and Growth Division. Mikael’s specific areas of competence include poverty and growth analysis, private sector development, inclusive finance, public enterprise and infrastructure reform, and economic/financial analysis. Mikael has extensive experience from working and living in Southern Africa and South-East Asia. He works in English, French and Portuguese. Mikael’s passion is Stockholm archipelago: skating, sailing and renovating an old log cabin. He is based in Stockholm.
